Apro questo nuovo topic (per adesso in inglese ma, se necessario provvederò alla traduzione per chi lo richiedesse) per tenervi informati su quanto succede durante questa importante manifestazione che Apple organizza tutti gli anni e che prende il nome di Mac World. Ovviamente è una panoramica sul mondo Apple non centrata solo su iPhone ma che abbraccia tutta la produzione di Steve Jobs. Strano ma vero, uno degli eventi più importanti sarà una conferenza di Microsoft per la presentazione di Bing, il nuovo motore di ricerca che sarà implementato anche sull'iPad. Users and Developers Can Test Out Over 100 of the Hottest Mobile Applications and Meet Their Designers

Framingham, MA––Macworld 2010 will host the largest face-to-face viewing of applications for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch devices, IDG World Expo, owner of Macworld 2010, announced today. Nell'ordine:
1) Alcune foto delle sale dove si tengono le varie presentazioni (cartelli)
2) La "Tom Tom room": è stato presentato l'ultimo aggiornamento per il noto programma di navigazione dedicato al Phone. Come forse avrete già letto la nuova versione, 1.3, infatti, arriverà su AppStore tra circa 2-3 settimane e comprenderà, tra le tante novità, la possibilità di visualizzare il traffico in tempo reale e di effettuare ricerche dei vari POI tramite Google. La prima delle due funzioni qui elencate sarà disponibile tramite un acquisto aggiuntivo all’interno dell’applicazione, sfruttando il servizio In-App Purchase. Non si hanno ancora informazioni riguardo ai prezzi ma sarà anche su abbonamento, valido per 12 mesi. La ricerca dei POI tramite Google, invece, sarà disponibile gratuitamente come parte dell’aggiornamento.
3) La presentazione di un "park pay" dove è possibile pagare il parcheggio con il Phone.
4) Il tipo con i pantaloni da "acqua alta in casa" è (anche se non si direbbe) un responsabile di una ditta che prepara programmi per Mac legati alla grafica.
5) Lo stand "Paypal".
Nella giornata (la nostra notte) ci sarà un'importante meeting chiamato (con "molta" fantasia devo dire) "Introducing the iPad". Inutile ogni commento, credo.

Nasce la prima Assicurazione per iPhone che copre i costi di riparazione e sostituzione



Al MacWorld la società Worth Ave ha presentato la prima assicurazione per iPhone e laptop, che copre tutti i danni e gli incidenti che non vengono inclusi nella normale garanzia del prodotto.

Da oggi quindi, gli americani che decideranno di assicurare il proprio iPhone non dovranno più preoccuparsi di furti, smarrimenti, danneggiamenti, schermi rotti e quant’altro. Basterà versare una quota fissa all’anno che verrà poi impiegata per coprire i costi di riparazione.

Per l’iPhone 3G bisogna versare 55$ all’anno, per il 3GS invece la quota è di 79$. Speriamo che nasca qualcosa di simile anche in Italia.

Dubito molto che lo vedremo mai da noi ma essendo buoni copiatori di tutto ciò che è americano.............
